Since 2012, Dominic has followed former colleague and friend Niels Kroninger (https://www.linkedin.com/in/niels-kroninger-24a49b83/), who successfully founded Green Hedge International Ltd., a renewable energy and energy storage company based in Malta.
During spring 2017, Green Hedge International’s fully owned subsidiary Green Hedge Energy UK Ltd., the leading UK energy storage innovator (www.green-hedge.com), required bridge financing for a portfolio of grid scale projects designed in the proprietary “Energy Barn” style.
NAP was willing to provide financing under the condition of a 100% share purchase and began negotiations with the shareholders of Green Hedge International Ltd. The successful financial close occurred on May 26, 2017.
Subsequently NAP took an active board representation, provided the bridge financing and immediately engaged in the negotiation of a capital increase enabling Green Hedge Energy UK Ltd. to become an independent utility focused on energy storage and developing new business lines around “behind-the-meter” solutions informed by the algorithmic optimisation developed by the team.
